Kathy Wise

Kathy Wise is this year’s All Sports Association Special Olympian.  Kathy first started her career in Special Olympics in Pensacola at the age of ten.  She continued her involvement at Southside Elementary School until she was transferred to Silver Sands School.  Upon graduation she enrolled in adult Special Olympics programs in Crestview.   Kathy participates as a Special Olympian in Bowling, Track and Field and Bocce.  Based on her accomplishments Kathy has been chosen as the Okaloosa County Special Olympics Athlete of the Year.

Kathy is an ardent community volunteer, having spent numerous hours working in Hospice programs.  She has also supported Meals on Wheels and spent time as a volunteer with Head Start.  Kathy’s most recent job was as a volunteer at special education classes at Walker Elementary School, where staff praised her for her outstanding work with intellectually handicapped children. Kathy is well liked and respected by both staff and peers.

Kathy is the daughter of Frank and Susan wise of Crestview.
