Emmanuel Valentin

Emmanuel Valentin is this year’s All Sports Association Special Olympian. Emmanuel has won numerous medals in bowling, basketball, swimming, snow skiing, and track and field. He will be one of two Okaloosa County athletes to represent Okaloosa County in the Southeast Winter Games at Boone North Carolina. Because of his accomplishments and attitude, Emmanuel has been chosen as the Okaloosa County Special Olympics Athlete of the Year.

Emmanuel is an avid swimmer and has competed in the 50 meter free-style, back stroke and 5×50 meter free style relay. In track and field he has competed in the 100,200, 400 and 4×100 relay. Based on his athletic ability Emmanuel is typically chosen as the anchor on the relay team.

Emmanuel is a well respected athlete by his peers and coaches. He demonstrates outstanding sportsmanship in all endeavors. His confidence and desire to be a team player have earned him a leadership role within the Okaloosa County Special Olympics program. Emmanuel’s parents are Javier and Beatrice Valentin. They have been very supportive of Emmanuel’s participation in years of Special Olympics athletics.
