 Erin Walker of Paxton High School is the 2010 All Sports Association Female Scholastic Award Recipient.  Erin has had a remarkable athletic high school career competing in track and field, basketball and cross country.  She won the Class A discus district, regional and state titles in both 2008 and 2009 and has a school record best throw of 132.2 feet.  She was an AAU Junior Olympics Silver medalist in the discus.  Erin was recognized for her efforts as the 2009 All Sports/Daily News Track Athlete of the Year.      

In her role as a forward for the Paxton girls basketball team Erin has helped her team win four district titles. The team competed in the Final Four during her sophomore year.  As a junior she led Paxton to an appearance in regional semifinals and finished the year averaging 12.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while registering 31 blocked shots.  Again, Erin was recognized by the All Sports Association/Daily News as the small school girls Basketball Player of the Year.    

Capping off her athletic achievements in 2009 Erin was named the All Sports Association/Daily News Female Athlete of the Year.  She was a state finalist for the prestigious Wendy’s High School Heisman, being only one of ten female finalists across the state of Florida.      

In addition to her athletic achievements Erin has excelled in the classroom being named to the Academic Team all four years in high school.  Her weighted GPA is 4.06.  She is the Student Council president, a member of Mu Alpha Theta and plays first chair clarinet for the Paxton High School Band.  Outside of school, Erin is the principal chair string bass for the Northwest Florida Youth Symphony Orchestra and she is a volunteer youth basketball coach in Walton County. 

     Upon graduation, Erin has accepted an appointment to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point.  Erin is the daughter of John and Brenda Walker and the sister of Kimberly Walker, all of Paxton.

Roy Finch of Niceville High School is the 2010 All Sports Association Male Scholastic Award Recipient.  As a running back for the Niceville Eagles, Roy led the team to the 1-4A state football finals.  During his senior season he rushed for 1659 yards and 27 touchdowns.  In receiving, he caught 30 passes for 504 yards and six touchdowns.   In all-purpose yards he finished the season with 2461 yards and 35 touchdowns.  Roy broke three school records in 2009:  season total offense, season rushing and season touchdowns.  For his efforts Roy was named 2009 First Team All State Running Back, the All Sports Association/Daily News Player of the Year, 4a Player of the year runner up, and WEAR-TV First Team Running Back.  Nationally Roy was named to the PARADE All-America High School Football Team and is rated the number three all-purpose back in America by Rivals.com.  Roy is also an accomplished weight lifter, competing at the regional level.  In track and field he participated in the 4×200 relay and 4X100 relay, setting new meet records at the Ram Relays   powering the Eagles to first-place team finish for the second consecutive year.Roy moved to Niceville in 2008.  In 2008 he was named ASA/Daily News Player of the Year and Fist Team All-State running back.  In just two seasons he finished second in Niceville career total offense and touchdowns.  His career totals for rushing are 2955 yards and 42 touchdowns, receiving 30 receptions for 813 yards and 8 touchdown and all-purpose 4502 yards and 55 touchdowns.  Roy was recruited by more than 40 Division 1 schools.  Following graduation this spring, Roy has signed a letter of intent to attend The University of Oklahoma.  He is the son of  Angel Finch.
